Sweet 16 Announcement Suite
The suite, as it arrives — cover first, then the cards in the order you will send them, announcement to thank-you. Tap any card to read it at full size.
The video announcement
Watch it arrive.
The suite’s video, as it arrives in the family chat — a sample photo and sample words throughout. In the one you send, your family’s photo and words take their place.
Sixteen years — and a room full of people who helped raise them.
A Sweet 16 is a threshold birthday: bigger than a party, planned like an event, and remembered like a milestone. This suite carries the whole arc — the announcement that starts the excitement, the invitation with every detail straight, a candle ceremony card that honors the people who matter most, the thank-you after, and a keepsake that lasts longer than the cake.
For daughters, for sons, for every sixteen-year-old: nothing in this suite assumes who the birthday teen is, who is hosting, or which traditions your family keeps. Every tradition here is a field you can fill, move, or delete — never a script you have to follow.
Your traditions, your call. The heart of many Sweet 16s is the candle ceremony: sixteen candles, each one lit for a person who made a difference — parents and grandparents first, then family, then friends, in whatever order your family chooses. The suite's candle card holds all sixteen names in order, written once on the details sheet so nobody's name is misspelled on the night. If your family adds a seventeenth candle — for luck, or in memory of someone who couldn't be there — there is a line for that too, only if you want it. A first dance with a parent or someone who matters, a shoe or tiara moment, an heirloom passed down: each appears as an optional, bracketed field, presented by whoever your family chooses. None of them are printed as if they already happened.
Planned together. These celebrations are usually planned by a parent and a teen together, and the cards respect both hands: the teen's photo is the teen's to help choose, the guest list is the family's to set, and the wording is nobody's but yours.

The details sheet
Write it once. Check it here. Never from memory.
Every name and date goes on this sheet first, in letter boxes, with the weekday checked against the date — before a single card is built. Precision is a form of love, so we made it part of the suite.
Questions, answered plainly
Is this only for girls?
No. Sweet 16 is celebrated for daughters, sons, and every sixteen-year-old. The wording fields are open, the design is not gendered, and the traditional elements — a first dance, a shoe or tiara moment — are optional fields presented by whoever your family chooses, never defaults.
Do we have to hold a candle ceremony?
No. It is one beloved shape of the day, and the card is there if your family keeps it. Fill it, shorten it, or delete it — the suite works beautifully without it.
Who plans it — a parent, or the teen?
Either, or both together, which is how most families do it. The guide is written so a parent and a sixteen-year-old can pass the phone back and forth; the teen's photo is the teen's to help choose.
The candle names are a lot of names. How do we keep them straight?
That is what the details sheet is for: write all sixteen once, in order, in letter boxes, and build the card from the sheet — not from memory, not on the night.
Can I print the cards?
Yes — every card includes a print-ready 5×7 export alongside the phone size, including the candle ceremony card for the program table.
Is anything mailed to me?
No. This is a digital download.
