Perinatal Loss Announcement Scaffold & Wave of Light Keepsake
The suite, as it arrives — cover first, then the cards in the order you will send them, whenever you are ready. Tap any card to read it at full size.
Some news is the hardest a family will ever have to share. This product exists for that news, and it is built differently from everything else we make.
There is no finished announcement text in it. A template cannot know your baby, and words written for everyone would fail the one family they are for. What is here instead is a structure, a set of carefully gathered phrasing options to choose from or set aside, and a keepsake for the remembering that follows. The words, when you are ready for them, are yours.
What you receive
- Announcement scaffold card — a quiet, designed frame with labeled fields: your baby's name, if you gave one; the dates, as you wish them written; and an open space for your words. Nothing is pre-written. Phone size (1080×1920) and print 5×7.
- Wave of Light keepsake card — a candle-lit remembrance card for October 15, and for any day of the year. Your baby's name, dates, and a photo if you wish one are shown as placeholders, for you to complete. Phone size and print 5×7.
- Details sheet — your baby's name written letter by letter, the dates with their weekdays beside them, the words your family uses, and a place to note who has been told directly, and who the announcement is for.
- Layered source files (SVG) — every field and line editable in free tools.
- A guide, written for this — the heart of this product. It walks through telling the closest people first, the shape an announcement can take, phrasing options gathered from bereavement care guidance, words that wound and are best avoided, and the October 15 Wave of Light remembrance.
A few things this product will never do
- It will never suggest a cause, or ask about one.
- It will never offer another baby, a future pregnancy, or any silver lining as comfort.
- It will never hurry you. There is no right date for an announcement, and no announcement is owed to anyone.
- It is not promoted, discounted, or bundled. It is here, quietly, for the families who look for it.

The details sheet
Write it once. Check it here. Never from memory.
Every name and date goes on this sheet first, in letter boxes, with the weekday checked against the date — before a single card is built. Precision is a form of love, so we made it part of the suite.
Questions, answered plainly
Is the announcement already written for me.
No. It is a scaffold — a designed structure with labeled fields, and phrasing options in the guide to choose from or leave aside. The words that go out are your family's.
We did not name our baby. Is that all right.
Completely. Every name field in this product is optional, and the frame is complete without one.
Do we have to announce at all.
No. Some families tell a small circle and no one else. Some wait weeks or months. Some never send an announcement. All of these are whole and valid choices, and this product supports the quiet ones as fully as any other.
What is the Wave of Light.
On October 15, Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, families around the world light a candle at 7 in the evening, local time, and let it burn for an hour. As each time zone joins, a continuous wave of light moves around the world in memory of babies who died too soon. The keepsake card is made for that evening, and for anniversaries and birthdays in the years after.
Can we use the keepsake every year.
Yes. It is yours, for October 15, for the anniversary, for their birthday, for any day their name deserves to be said.
Is anything mailed to us.
No. This is a digital download, sent quietly to your files.
