The video announcement

Watch it arrive.

The suite’s video, as it arrives in the family chat — a sample photo and sample words throughout. In the one you send, your family’s photo and words take their place.

The family you choose, celebrated on the day you choose — in the name your family gives it.

Chosen Family Day is not one date on a calendar. It is the day your family picks — near Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving, in Pride season, on the anniversary of the day you all found each other, or on an ordinary Saturday your family decides is yours. Many families mark it every year. This pack holds the arc: a greeting that travels to everyone who can't be there, the invitation to the table, a card for the family joining by video, a thank-you, and a keepsake made to stand beside last year's.

Your family, at full standing. A chosen family is a family — not a stand-in, not a second-best, not "friends who are like family." This pack never treats it as one. The cards name your family the way your family names itself, use the names each person lives by, and hold space for your family's own words in bracketed fields. Nothing here assumes why your family is chosen, and nothing asks you to explain it. Joy is reason enough. Many chosen families sit right alongside birth families, and both can be honored — this pack never ranks one above the other.

The day is yours to name. Some families call it Chosen Family Day. Some call it Friendsgiving. Some give it a name only their table understands. The cards hold a field for the name your family gives this day, and the date is a field too — weekday and date written as a pair, checked together, because the day belongs to your family, not to a calendar.

Cards are sent only to the people you choose. A card from this pack goes to your guest list — the people you pick, one by one. The guide includes a plain privacy note: guest list only, no public posting by default, and names are spelled as each person lives them — a chosen name is the name, everywhere, every time.

The keepsake card is the annual heart of this pack. Print the 5×7, set it beside last year's, and watch the family grow — new faces at the table, the same love, one more year chosen on purpose.

The details sheet

Write it once. Check it here. Never from memory.

Every name and date goes on this sheet first, in letter boxes, with the weekday checked against the date — before a single card is built. Precision is a form of love, so we made it part of the suite.

Questions, answered plainly

When is Chosen Family Day?

On the day your family chooses. There is no single official date — many families mark it near Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving, some in Pride season, some on a date that matters to their own story. The date is a field on every card, and your family names the day in your own words.

Is this a substitute-family card?

No. A chosen family is a family, full stop — this pack celebrates it at full standing, in your family's own words, and never frames it as a stand-in for anything.

Our family includes our birth families too. Does this still fit?

Yes. Many chosen families form alongside birth families, and both can be honored without ranking. The host line and family lines are fields — name everyone exactly as your family lives it.

Can I send this privately?

Yes — that is how it is designed. Cards go to your guest list only, and the guide's privacy note is plain: no public posting by default, and the invitation card is never posted in public places because it carries a home address.

What name goes on the cards?

The name each person lives by. Names are spelled as each person writes them — a chosen name is used everywhere, and a former name never appears.

Is anything mailed to me?

No. This is a digital download.
