Loss & Remembrance
Celebration of Life Announcement Suite
The suite, as it arrives — cover first, then the cards in the order you will send them, whenever you are ready. Tap any card to read it at full size.
The video announcement
Watch it arrive.
The suite’s video, as it arrives — quietly, with a sample photo and sample words. In the one you send, your family’s photo and words take their place.
The words are already written. You only add their name.
This suite was made for the hardest text a family ever has to send. Everything is written, designed, and ready — you add one photo, a name, and the dates, and the announcement is ready when you are, from your phone.
Nothing here is loud. There are no templates that feel like party invitations with the words changed. The words are the ones families actually use — in loving memory, forever in our hearts — written gently, and easy to make your own.
What you receive
- Announcement card — the obituary announcement: photo, name, dates, and a line of remembrance. Phone size (1080×1920, made to be read inside a text thread) + print-ready 5×7.
- Service details card — service date, time, chapel or venue, reception, and a bracketed in-lieu-of-flowers option — included only if it is your family's wish — in the same design.
- Thank-you card — for after, when you're ready: gratitude for the meals, the flowers, the presence, the kind words.
- Additional observance card — for a second or third gathering (wake, vigil, committal, shiva, a later memorial): your family names it, and the wording follows.
- Announce-today card — a one-screen minimal announcement for families whose tradition gathers within a day: name, dates, and one line. Nothing more is asked of you.
- Details sheet — write every name and date once, in letter boxes, and check the weekday against the date before you build a single card.
- Memorial tribute video (MP4, 28 seconds) — a quiet vertical video: their photo, their name, their dates, the service details, over a soft original piano bed. No voiceover, no hype. Made to be texted, posted, or played at the service.
- Layered source files (SVG) — every word is editable; change names, dates, wording, or colors in any free editor.
- A simple edit guide — written for someone doing this on their phone, possibly in a difficult week. Big steps, no jargon.
How it works
- Open the templates (works with free tools, on your phone or computer).
- Drop in their photo; type the name and dates. The wording is there if you want it — change any of it.
- Export and send: text it, post it, or print the 5×7 for the service.
Please note
This is a digital product — no physical item is shipped. The names, dates, and photo shown in the previews are samples; every one of them is yours to replace. Personal use for your family's service and remembrance.
The details sheet
Write it once. Check it here. Never from memory.
Every name and date goes on this sheet first, in letter boxes, with the weekday checked against the date — before a single card is built. Precision is a form of love, so we made it part of the suite.
Questions, answered plainly
Do I need design experience?
No. If you can change a contact photo on your phone, you can do this. The guide walks through it step by step.
What can I edit?
Everything — the photo, name, dates, all wording, and the colors. The sample text is a starting point, never a requirement.
How do I send the video?
It's a standard MP4. Text it, share it in a family chat, post it, or ask your funeral home to play it — most can.
Can I print the cards too?
Yes — every card includes a print-ready 5×7 export alongside the phone size.
Is anything mailed to me?
No. This is a digital download. Nothing is mailed, and there is no schedule to keep — send it whenever your family is ready.
Can I use this for a memorial later, not a funeral?
Yes. Many families use the announcement design for memorial anniversaries and remembrance posts — a yahrzeit or annual remembrance, a Día de los Muertos remembrance — and the additional observance card names the gathering as your family names it.
